What documents do I need for a UK virtual address?

Short answer

You need one government photo ID: a passport or a UK driving licence. Some applications also need a proof of address such as a recent bank statement or utility bill. Verification runs instantly at checkout and is required by UK anti-money-laundering rules.

Accepted documents

  • Passport — any nationality, photo page, in date.
  • UK or EU driving licence — full or provisional, photocard.
  • Proof of address — bank statement, utility bill or council tax bill dated within three months.

Uploads are encrypted, capped at 10MB per file, and stored in a private, access-controlled store. Only verification staff can open them.

Why the check is required

Address providers are supervised under the Money Laundering Regulations and must verify every customer's identity before supplying a business address. Any provider skipping ID checks is operating outside those rules.

If the instant check fails

Nothing is lost. You can submit your documents for manual review and our team checks them by hand, usually within one business day. Once approved you continue straight to the agreement and payment.
